6.15.2018 Let us begin this post by apologizing for the recent silence that has befell the Evolution Through the Ages accounts over the course of the last two weeks.   On June 2nd, 2018 two top level executives of Evolution Through the Ages became legally joined in marriage.       Jacob Stagray (CEO) and Devin Reeson (Director of Social Media) were joined in a lawfully wedded marriage on June 2, 2018 at 11:45a.m.  The couple has been together since before the dawn...

Sean and I met up today for our weekly meeting at the local Starbucks.   The topic of our meeting today was death and how this concept would continue to effect organisms within the game world we have created, Evolution Through the Ages .        We discussed how to incorporate the mass extinction events from the geologic time scales from planet Earth’s extensive 4.6 billion year old history.   Especially pertaining the concepts of extinction events triggered by over-competition, CO 2 / O 2 concentrations, and asteroid impacts.      Organisms will soon be able to effectively eliminate a global population of organisms within our game world.   This will occur through a process known as organismal over-competition for limited resources.   Due to a scarcity of resources within the game world, as is the case in the real world, organisms will inevitably result in competition between two di...

Sean, Devin, and I met up at the MellowMushroom in Covington, Louisiana.  We ordered a 16'' Mellowterranean Pizza. -aside:  the pizza was delicious- This is the first time the three of us have been able to collectively come together to meet and discuss how our individual department goals are being met and to decide how to best proceed with the direction of the company.      We discussed the concept of restructuring our internships to be more of a work for hire concept; similar to that of a graphic designers pay scales.  Under this potential restructuring,  the people who are working on the smaller components of our game's code would be paid for completion of each task needed for further upgrading the game's software.    We are still in the talks of this restructuring; however, we are interested in reaching out to potential universities to recruit skilled computer science majors for their abilities.  We ...

Today I spent approximately two hours with CodeAcademy.com teaching myself the basics of HTML coding.  Sean (our lead game developer) has recently requested that I (Jacob Stagray- CEO) begin revamping the  Evolution Through the Ages website .  He believes that by me learning basic coding, I will help alleviate some of the time constraints the website causes him;  this will allow him to focus even more of his energy into continued development of our game product ( available on our website ).  Today's lessons pertained to how to create a link, as well as linking to an image, using the following HTML tags: <a href=" url goes here ">  name of tab goes here  </a> <a href=" url goes here "><img src=" image file goes here " height="100" width="100" alt="Instagram logo"></a> Additionally, I began reorganizing the landing page of the website into different sections...

Evolution Through the Ages is an online gaming community with an Omnipresent “Sim-like” game-play that is based upon accurate Evolutionary phylogenetic lineages. The goal within the game is to take the molten Hadean Earth and, through the processes of Evolution and Survival of the Fittest, evolve life from simple elements into any and all of the diverse life that has ever existed. Evolution Through the Ages takes you through evolutionary accurate process with scientific accuracy and user-friendly interface/gameplay. This game attempts to serve as a bridge to lessen the divide between misconceptions about how one organism can adapt, and eventually lead to the evolution of a population of organisms. Our product serves as a model to demonstrate the individual “small scale” steps the process of evolution has taken over the course of life’s history. The Major Goal of Evolution Through the Ages is to create the most effective and evolutionarily diverse planet that ...
